Sometimes you only need one spot.
When recording artist P!nk recorded a new theme song for the Ellen show, it proved a colossal development in the talk show landscape.
To mark the event, my team and I documented the recording session where P!ink laid down the new track. We then intercut this footage with material from the show itself, showcasing the fun, humor, and boundless optimism that the Ellen show provides. A :30 version aired on linear television and an online ad buy, and we produced this :60 specifically for Ellentube and the show’s social media channels.
The campaign resulted in my second Emmy Award for Institutional Promo.
The multi-channel campaign, along with the show’s new look and feel, set the stage for one of the Ellen show’s biggest premieres to date.
